Li Rongjun spent four months and more than £7,150 on the building, the walls of which hold 8,500 bottles lashed together
This stunning building was built using 8,500 beer bottles by an enterprising engineering graduate.
Li Rongjun spent four months and more than 70,000 yuan (£7,150) completing what he terms an office with the help of his father.
Sand, cement and cobblestones were the other materials used.
It was Li's first project after finishing his construction degree at the Inner Mongolia University Of Science & Technology this year.
"I aim to build an office using a unique artistic style," he said.
The 29-square-metre building is on two floors, with each story 2.8m in height.
"My son was quite strict with the craftsmanship of the building," Li's father revealed.
"He rebuilt it several times when he found either story of the building wasn't flat enough."
Finished last month, it stands on a site which has been deserted for 20 years near their home in Lanya village, Chongqing municipality, China.
Villagers have admired its aesthetic qualities.
"The building is more beautiful in the evening as it is luminous under the lighting," said villager Li Yan.
The whole beer bottle room has two stories with 40 tiers of empty beer bottles in total."
Li plans to improve and expand the office, which he hopes will showcase his skills in order to attract investors and partners to start his own business in construction design.
